Welcome to 1860

Welcome to Beechworth’s 1860 Luxury Accommodation, an original timber slab hut, lovingly restored to offer couples luxury, tranquillity and total privacy. Escape, relax and immerse yourself in the warmth and character of this amazing building. With an open fire, double bath, leather lounge, king sized bed and full kitchen, 1860 overlooks Spring Creek and the surrounding parklands of Lake Sambell.

Built in the 1860’s by a timber feller & carpenter, 1860 was deconstructed piece by piece and moved from Taggerty to Beechworth to save it from the ravages of time & weather. It was rebuilt using traditional methods to maintain the integrity and historic value of the building.

Take a five minute stroll into Beechworth to enjoy renowned restaurants, great coffee, shopping and boutique wines. To explore beautiful landscapes and gold rush architecture, the rail trail cycling path is at your door and the perfect way to discover the charms of Beechworth.

1860, self contained luxury in the heart of Beechworth. We hope to see you soon.
